Equality & Diversity
Equality, Diversity and Inclusion are at the centre of how we work with the People we Support and our staff. Our Trustees and Executive Team are committed to creating an open and inclusive culture.
We have co created an ED&I strategy with an action plan – we are currently delivering against the Year 2 part of this plan which involves people across the organisation. The Year 1 strategy included the development and launch of a Respect at Ambient policy which has been a foundation to outline our approach to how we treat each other and what colleagues can expect and hold to account on.

Our approach
Our approach to ED&I continues to be one that is agile and driven by feedback from our staff, rather than being purely driven by numbers. For example it includes work around skill sharing, the development of local plans and inclusive leadership.
This is driven by a steering group and monitored by Trustees, who have also developed an approach to increasing Board diversity through inclusive recruitment.
